A new leadership has been determined in the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Council İYİ Party Group following the expulsion and resignation crisis.

İYİ Party Group Spokesperson Suat Sarı has become the new deputy group chairman. İBB Council İYİ Party Deputy Group Chairman İbrahim Özkan, who argued that cooperation should be maintained despite the İYİ Party closing its doors to an alliance in the local elections, had resigned from his post at the request of İYİ Party Chairwoman Meral Akşener.

Following İbrahim Özkan's resignation, his re-election as deputy group chairman with the votes of 7 council members, and the subsequent debates that led to 6 council members resigning from the İYİ Party along with Deputy Group Chairman Özkan, the new group leadership was determined at a meeting held today at the İYİ Party Istanbul Provincial Presidency.

At the meeting held at the İYİ Party Istanbul Provincial Presidency, Suat Sarı was elected as the IMM Council İYİ Party Deputy Group Chairman, while Tufan Babar became the new group spokesperson.
