A notable figure in the Mehmet Akif Ersoy investigation: Serkan Toper visits Bahçeli

MHP member and lawyer Serkan Toper, whose name appeared in the case file of Mehmet Akif Ersoy, who was arrested as part of a drug-related investigation, visited the party's leader, Devlet Bahçeli, at his office.

Following the visit, Toper shared a photo taken with Bahçeli on his social media account, writing, 'I had the honor of celebrating the new year and birthday of our statesman, Mr. Devlet Bahçeli. May God grant him a long life.'

Toper, whose name was frequently mentioned by secret witnesses who provided statements under the effective remorse law in the ongoing investigation, had previously made a statement regarding the allegations that surfaced in the public eye.

Lawyer Toper had stated, 'Regarding the claims in this secret witness testimony that I had financial dealings with Mehmet Akif and that I managed his money; I have never had a single penny of financial exchange with Mehmet Akif, let alone trade or business.'
