The May 2025 report, which the We Will Stop Femicide Platform emphasizes with great concern, has once again brought the scale of violence against women to light. According to the report, 21 femicides were committed. 20 women passed away due to suspicious deaths. Approximately 62 percent of the murdered women lost their lives in their own homes, and 62 percent were killed with firearms.

According to the details in the report, some of the women who lost their lives were killed because they chose to defend their most basic rights. Accordingly, 7 women were killed due to decisions such as wanting a divorce, separating, refusing to marry, or ending a relationship. Economic reasons were prominent in the deaths of 5 women. The motive for the murder of 9 women has yet to be determined.

38 percent of the murdered women were killed by their husbands or ex-husbands, and 24 percent were killed by other relatives.
