A sad day for the MHP: MHP politician passes away
Mehmet Güzgülü, a Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) municipal council member for Şehzadeler who had served in Manisa politics for many years, has passed away at the hospital where he was being treated for leukemia.
Mehmet Güzgülü, a prominent figure in the MHP in Manisa who held significant positions in the Manisa Metropolitan Municipality, was admitted to Manisa Celal Bayar University Hafsa Sultan Hospital recently due to an illness.
After being diagnosed with leukemia there, treatment for Güzgülü was initiated.
His condition worsened this morning, and Güzgülü passed away despite all medical interventions.
A funeral ceremony for Mehmet Güzgülü will be held today at Hatuniye Mosque following the afternoon prayer.
Mehmet Güzgülü, who served as an advisor to the Mayor of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality in the previous term, was elected as an MHP Municipal Council Member for Şehzadeler in the March 31 Local Administration Elections.
