A strange series of unqualified appointments at Darülaceze! New members announced...

It has been revealed that the number of individuals serving on the Administrative Board of the Darülaceze Presidency, which operates under the Ministry of Family and Social Services, has risen to 17.

According to a report by İsmail Arı from BirGün, it is known that the institution's President, Hamza Cebeci, also serves as a "Presidential Advisor." 

Cebeci is also remembered for the 1999 earthquake disaster.

During the 1999 Düzce earthquake, the 7-story Işık Apartment building collapsed, resulting in the deaths of 20 people. Hamza Cebeci, the contractor of the building, and his partner Fahri Çakır were tried and received prison sentences. Cebeci, who built 7 stories where only 3 were permitted, was elected as an AKP municipal council member for Üsküdar in 2004, shortly after the earthquake. Shortly thereafter, he became a member of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Council's Zoning Commission. Cebeci, who served as the Düzce provincial coordinator during the founding of the AKP, became the president of Darülaceze in 2015. On May 8, 2020, he was appointed as a Presidential Advisor by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Former AKP Üsküdar Mayor Hilmi Türkmen,

Aziz Torun, known for the construction project on the Ali Sami Yen Stadium land in Mecidiyeköy, Istanbul, where 10 workers lost their lives, and who is also a friend of President Erdoğan,

Businessperson Mehmet Naci Topsakal, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Haliç University and contractor of the Haliç Congress Center,

General Director of Foundations Sinan Aksu,

Businessperson Bülent Katkak,

Ziya Altan Elmas, owner of Sur Yapı, who frequently makes headlines with luxury housing projects on public land and serves on the boards of foundations belonging to Bilal and Emine Erdoğan,
