A total of 570 earthquakes have occurred in the Aegean Sea

A total of 570 earthquakes have occurred in the Aegean Sea

The Aegean Sea is shaking like a cradle. The toll of the earthquakes that have occurred has been revealed. 

According to the statement made by the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), exactly 570 tremors have been recorded since January 28 as of 15:50 today. 

As a result of the activity described as an 'earthquake swarm,' 100 earthquakes between magnitude 1-2, 255 between 2-3, 182 between 3-4, and 33 between 4-5 occurred. The largest of the earthquakes so far was recorded at 4.9.

The earthquakes showed an increase approximately 25 kilometers northeast of Santorini Island, and their depths ranged between 5 and 25 kilometers.
