'Abdullah Gül could be the CHP's next presidential candidate': Yarkadaş makes 'evidence-based' statement
Journalist Barış Yarkadaş has made a claim that is set to spark significant political debate. Yarkadaş suggested that if a political ban is imposed on Ekrem İmamoğlu, the 11th President, Abdullah Gül, could emerge as a serious option among the CHP's presidential candidates.
In his statement, Yarkadaş said, "Do not be surprised if Abdullah Gül is seriously brought to the table as one of the CHP's presidential candidates in the coming period; I am speaking based on information."
Journalist Barış Yarkadaş has put forward a claim that will be widely discussed on the political agenda.
Yarkadaş alleged that if a political ban is imposed on Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was suspended from his post following a 'corruption' operation targeting the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, the 11th President, Abdullah Gül, could come to the agenda as a serious option among the CHP's presidential candidates.
"ABDULLAH GÜL COULD BE THE CHP'S CANDIDATE"
Speaking during a live broadcast on tv100, Yarkadaş used the following expressions: "Do not be surprised if Abdullah Gül is seriously brought to the table as one of the CHP's presidential candidates in the coming period; I am speaking based on information. This is new information. Abdullah Gül was also discussed in 2018. At that time, I was in the same group as Mustafa, we were members of parliament. It was discussed in a closed meeting, and we objected. But I am underlining this for the 2028 elections: no one should be surprised if Abdullah Gül is brought to the table as a serious option among the CHP's presidential candidates.

"MANSUR YAVAŞ IS NOT ON THE CANDIDATE LIST AT CHP HEADQUARTERS"
If a political ban is imposed on Ekrem İmamoğlu after a certain period, or if obstacles are placed in front of his political activities, no one should be surprised if the name of Abdullah Gül is mentioned. Mansur Yavaş is not on the candidate list at CHP Headquarters."
