Access ban on Ekrem İmamoğlu's X account: Court announces decision
The court's decision to impose an access ban on İmamoğlu's social media account has been forwarded to the BTK and the social media company
An access ban has been imposed on the X account of CHP presidential candidate and imprisoned Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.
The access ban was implemented after midnight on May 8. The statement "In response to a legal request, access to @ekrem_imamoglu has been restricted within the borders of TR" appeared on İmamoğlu's X page.
Since İmamoğlu entered prison, his statements and messages had been shared via his X account.
The last post made via İmamoğlu's account was for the CHP rally held at Beyazıt Square, which included the words, "We are meeting at Beyazıt Square this evening at 20:30. Bring your diploma and come."

STATEMENT FROM GÖKHAN GÜNAYDIN
CHP Group Deputy Chairman Gökhan Günaydın made a statement regarding the issue.
Günaydın stated, "They have blocked access to Ekrem İmamoğlu's X account from Turkey.
Just as they thought they could leave the area in darkness by not allowing lighting equipment into Beyazıt Square.
Tomorrow, the Mayor will have millions of X accounts. It has long been clear that there is no integrity in your book. Shame on you!"
