Access ban on news regarding İhlas Holding CEO Ahmet Mücahit Ören

The latest documents regarding the Jeffrey Epstein files, shared with the public by the US Department of Justice, have brought new names to the agenda. It was observed that the name of İhlas Holding CEO Ahmet Mücahit Ören also appeared in the correspondence contained in the documents.

CORRESPONDENCE INCLUDED IN US DOCUMENTS

While the shared documents contained correspondence belonging to numerous politicians and businesspeople, it was reported that Ahmet Mücahit Ören's name was also among them. According to the content of the documents, correspondence between Ören and Epstein's close associate Ghislaine Maxwell was found.

It was stated that the correspondence in question included expressions indicating that Ören wanted to meet with billionaire businessman Richard Branson, the founder of the Virgin Group. The content of the correspondence indicated that this meeting was requested within the framework of a business matter.

Following these developments, Ahmet Mücahit Ören made a statement via his social media account. Drawing attention to the context of the correspondence in his post, Ören used the following expressions:

“I have been reading what has been written and the comments since this morning with laughter and astonishment. Anyone who knows English understands the purpose for which that email was written. I am asking for help from someone I know from the Davos meetings to introduce me to Richard Branson, the owner of the Virgin company, regarding a business matter. It is clearly evident that it has nothing to do with that disgusting man you mentioned. These slanders of yours have also come to nothing. The matter consists of this.”

ACCESS BAN IMPOSED

An access ban decision was issued for news reports stating that Ören's name appeared in the Epstein documents. Within the scope of the decision rendered by the Istanbul Criminal Court of Peace, an access ban was imposed on the content in question on the grounds of “the protection of national security and public order.”
