Accident following President Erdoğan's Şırnak program
One police officer was killed and two others were injured after a police vehicle traveling to Mardin following the program of AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan was involved in an accident.
Following the rally held by Erdoğan in Şırnak for the March 31 Local Elections, a police vehicle with license plate 73 EB 734, which was traveling by road to Mardin, collided with a camper van with license plate DU HZ 79 driven by a German national identified as K.D. in the Çığır district.
Ülker Duran, Oğulcan Kayhan, and Fırat Der were injured in the accident.
Upon notification of the accident to the 112 Emergency Call Center, health and security forces were dispatched to the scene.
One of the injured, Fırat Der, lost his life. The other injured individuals are continuing to receive treatment at the Cizre State Hospital, where they were transported.
An investigation into the accident has been initiated.
