Açık Radyo returns to the airwaves! The first broadcast date has been set
Following the cancellation of its license by RTÜK, Açık Radyo is returning as an internet radio station under the name 'Apaçık Radyo'. The station, which will begin broadcasting on November 11, will conduct test broadcasts for 3 days and greet its listeners with music programs.
The Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) had cancelled Açık Radyo's broadcasting license due to the use of the term "Armenian genocide," and the station's terrestrial broadcast was cut off on October 16. Açık Radyo is now returning as an internet radio station under the name 'Apaçık Radyo'.

According to a report by BBC Türkçe, Açık Radyo General Editor Ömer Madra said, "There will not be a situation that changes much. It will broadcast over the internet twenty-four hours a day, and I don't think there will be any other significant difference." The new station will use the same studios as Açık Radyo.
