Acting Agriculture Director killed in his office, helmeted attacker sought

In the Marmara district of Balıkesir, Acting District Agriculture Director Murat Yakupoğlu was found shot to death in his office. Following the incident, a suspect on a motorcycle wearing a helmet is being sought.

The incident occurred around 15:00 at the District Agriculture Directorate building on Hükümet Street. Upon hearing 5 gunshots from the building, police teams were dispatched to the scene following a report. Police teams conducting an inspection in the building found Acting District Agriculture Director Murat Yakupoğlu motionless and covered in blood in his office. Medical teams determined that Yakupoğlu had lost his life at the scene. While District Governor Elif Çelik arrived at the scene to conduct an investigation, Murat Yakupoğlu's body was taken to the Bursa Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy following the prosecutor's examination.

MOTORCYCLIST WITH HELMET SOUGHT

While an investigation into the incident has been launched, it was stated that the suspect fled the scene on a motorcycle after shooting Acting District Agriculture Director Murat Yakupoğlu and was wearing a helmet.
