Inspections continue at businesses owned by Ayhan Bora Kaplan, who is being tried in Ankara on charges of being a criminal organization leader. Police units have for some time intensified their inspections of entertainment centers and restaurants that Kaplan either owns or has a partnership in.
According to a report by T24, official and plainclothes police teams formed by the Ankara Police Department conducted inspections and searches at businesses considered to be linked to Kaplan, including Trend, Albüm, Haaz, Öküz, Three, Tezgah, Klarnet, Bohem, and Alaçatı Kafası.
During the inspections carried out the previous week, no criminal tools, particularly firearms, were found. However, administrative actions were taken due to administrative deficiencies and issues identified at the workplaces.
In this context, it was determined that 2 personnel at Trend, 2 at Haaz, 1 at Albüm, 6 at Öküz, 3 at Three, and one at Klarnet were employed without insurance.
Administrative penalties were imposed on the businesses in accordance with the Social Security Institution (SGK) legislation, as well as the Regulation on Opening Workplaces numbered 9207 and the law numbered 4201 on the Use of Tobacco Products.
WHAT HAD HAPPENED?
In the indictment prepared by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Ayhan Bora Kaplan and 5 organization executives were requested to be sentenced to up to 2 aggravated life sentences each and 169 years and 6 months in prison for the crimes of "establishing and managing an armed organization for the purpose of committing crimes," "intentional killing," "qualified intentional killing," "intentional injury," "deprivation of liberty," "qualified robbery," "torture," "destruction, concealment or alteration of criminal evidence," "assuming a crime," and "aiding and abetting a criminal." Prison sentences of varying lengths were also requested for the other 55 defendants.
