Following the arrest of IMM President and CHP Presidential Candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu and his colleagues, many citizens were also arrested and sent to prison during the subsequent protests.

While reactions to the events continue to pour in every day, another reaction came from veteran actor Salih Bademci.

Bademci expressed his reaction by making a post on his social media account titled "I am not normalizing."

In the post in question, Bademci used the following expressions:

"I am not normalizing because...

Our elected mayors have been removed from office.

299 students and many more citizens are still unjustly imprisoned.

Mahir Polat is fighting for his life.

Female students were harassed while in custody.

And defending our future is not a crime."
