Actress Hayal Köseoğlu: 'The public wants their artists by their side'

Actress Hayal Köseoğlu said, "I have had obsessive-compulsive disorder since I was a child," and stated that she cannot disconnect from the current agenda. Describing the acting industry as a small summary of the country, Köseoğlu said, "One of my favorite t-shirts says, 'Stop making stupid people famous.' (Laughs) I think that recently, the audience's priorities have also started to become character and backbone. The public, rightfully, wants their artists by their side."

Speaking to Deniz Ülkütekin from Cumhuriyet, here are the highlights from Hayal Köseoğlu's statements:

"I have had obsessive-compulsive disorder since I was a child. As someone whose brain is already very prone to obsession, this agenda wears me out a lot. Sometimes I spend 5-6 hours a day following the agenda on X; I can't disconnect, I constantly find myself watching the news. It doesn't do me any good, of course. I wish we could walk the streets happily without even knowing the names of any ministers, but unfortunately, the country's constantly changing agenda and its destructive effect on us are not conducive to that."

'OUR SECTOR IS LIKE A SMALL SUMMARY OF THE COUNTRY'

"I don't see myself as unfiltered. On the contrary, this is a highly filtered version of me. If I were truly unfiltered and just myself, it would probably cost me a lot. I try to keep my mouth shut as much as I can because I am not living in a climate that is conducive to me being myself. However, being less filtered than the general public has gained me friends who are like me. They are all crazy."

"(The MUSE concert incident) As a public, we are reaching certain levels of awareness, and I think this is very important. Muse is one of the bands I most want to see live, but as I said, our priorities are changing. I think this is more valuable than any kind of concert."
