Additional train services on Marmaray during Ramadan
Additional services will be organized on the Marmaray line to accommodate the increased passenger traffic during iftar hours throughout Ramadan.
The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure has taken a new measure to prevent passenger congestion on the Marmaray line during iftar hours with the start of the month of Ramadan. Officials stated that the need for public transportation increases during this period and announced that citizens will be provided with convenience through additional train services during peak hours.
In the announcement made by the Ministry, it was reported that additional trains will be added to the line throughout Ramadan, especially during hours when passenger demand increases before and after iftar. Thus, passengers on the line connecting the Asian and European sides of Istanbul will be able to travel with shorter waiting times.
Through this arrangement, it is aimed to both shorten service intervals and prevent potential crowding at stations. With the additional services, citizens will be able to benefit more effectively from the comfort offered by Marmaray during the month of Ramadan.
