Affecting millions of drivers: Decision reached on phone holders and multimedia systems
The regulation that millions of drivers have been waiting for regarding multimedia screens and speakers in vehicles has been completed under the instruction of Minister of Interior Mustafa Çiftçi. The regulation is expected to put an end to the confusion among drivers.
With the regulation prepared under the instruction of Minister of Interior Mustafa Çiftçi, phone holders mounted on the windshield have become permitted.
A decision has also been reached regarding dash cams and multimedia systems.
With the new regulation, which puts an end to the debates over penalties for multimedia screens and speakers in vehicles, phone holders mounted on the windshield are now officially permitted.
Dash cams will also not be subject to penalties when used within specified dimensions.
NEW CRITERIA FOR VEHICLE SOUND SYSTEMS
Regarding in-vehicle sound systems, penalties will now only be issued if the sound is audible outside the vehicle.
Multimedia systems will be permitted and not subject to penalties as long as they do not obstruct the driver's view.
