After Flash TV, it's CNBC-e's turn! Channel owner in custody

As part of the operation launched against the IMM in Istanbul this morning, detention orders were issued that also extended to the media and finance sectors. In the operation where 106 people, including Ekrem İmamoğlu, were detained, executives of İlbak Holding, the parent company of CNBC-e, were also taken into custody. Authorities announced that the investigation is being conducted in line with a MASAK report following corruption allegations and footage of money counting that leaked to the press.

Detention orders were issued for Mustafa İlbak, Chairman of the Board Murat İlbak, Yusuf İlbak, and Ali İlbak, executives of İlbak Holding, the owner of CNBC-e, which resumed broadcasting on June 10, 2024. İlbak Holding is known as a group of companies operating in a wide range of fields from mining to tourism, and construction to advertising.
