After the appointment of a trustee in Esenyurt, Özgür Özel will warn those mayors!

Following the arrest of Esenyurt Mayor Ahmet Özer and the appointment of a trustee in his place, the CHP held a rally in Esenyurt with its mayors and members of parliament.

The absence of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş, Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan, and Afyonkarahisar Mayor Burcu Köksal from the rally did not go unnoticed.

On the other hand, Burcu Köksal's statement, "I am the one who knows where and when I will be, not others. I have never been one of those who come when told to come and go when told to go, acting without questioning. Do not confuse us with yourselves," also drew significant attention.

Following the appointment of the trustee in Esenyurt, the CHP moved its parliamentary camp, which was to be held in Antalya, to Istanbul. Holding its Party Assembly (PM) meeting there, the CHP also determined its roadmap for Esenyurt.

According to a report by Cumhuriyet, what CHP Chairman Özgür Özel discussed with his staff during the PM meeting has been revealed.

'NORMALIZATION' DISCUSSED AT THE PM MEETING

It was learned that Özel discussed how the 'normalization' process would continue during the meeting and said, "We have never been in consensus with the government, nor do we have any intention to be. But we will continue to keep the doors open. We will also carry out our struggle in the harshest way possible."

WARNING FROM ÖZEL TO MAYORS

It was learned that Özel will also warn the mayors who made statements contradicting the party's position following the appointment of the trustee to Esenyurt.

Meanwhile, the party plans to engage in fierce opposition in Parliament, both during budget negotiations and in the general assembly, as a reaction to the trustee practice. Having not held his party's group meeting last week due to October 29th, Özel will speak at his party's group meeting today at 13:30 following the trustee debates.
