'His style is low-level, his language is foul...'

Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel made a self-criticism regarding Dilruba Kayserilioğlu, who was arrested due to her remarks in a street interview during the days when access to Instagram was blocked, and who was later seated in the protocol at the 93rd İzmir International Fair, stating: ''They told me there was a surprise. Dilruba came and sat down. It was wrong for someone thought to have insulted the AK Party to sit in the protocol and to have done so without correcting her words'' he said. 

A swift denial came from Dilruba to Özel's words. Responding from her social media account, Dilruba Kayserilioğlu stated, ''Wow, WHAT A LIE. Did I surprise him? Thank God there is such a thing as phone records; we went to have coffee and ended up in the protocol upon insistence. As for me, even though it had only been 1 day since I was released, I accepted it so as not to be rude since he came to me.''

Hürriyet Editor-in-Chief Ahmet Hakan, known for his proximity to the government, made criticisms directed at CHP leader Özgür Özel through Dilruba Kayserilioğlu.

Hakan stated, “There was only one sentence that could be said in the face of the arrest of the person named ‘Dilruba’. And that was this: ‘It is wrong for her to be arrested despite saying things that are not exactly approved of in a street interview.’ They did not do this.”

“In return, the ill-mannered person called Dilruba let out a huge ‘booooo’ at CHP Chairman Özgür Özel from her social media account. She did this to Özgür Özel, and was able to do it, even though he made no accusations against her. If you try to make a ‘hero’ out of someone whose style is low-level, whose language is foul, and whose approach is vulgar. That low-level style, that foul language, that vulgar approach will eventually come back to find you,”  said Ahmet Hakan, and in the rest of his article, he claimed that ‘Özgür Özel’s leadership has 7 flaws’.

- They treated someone who said “You are all brain-sucked idiots” as a “hero”.

 - They hosted such a person, who puts the words “President” and “stable” side by side, in their protocol.

 - They called someone who speaks with a very common, very vulgar, very foul style “Atatürk’s fearless daughter”.

They did these things, and what happened?

In return, the ill-mannered person called Dilruba let out a huge “booooo” at CHP Chairman Özgür Özel from her social media account.

She did this to Özgür Özel, and was able to do it, even though he made no accusations against her.

If you try to make a “hero” out of someone whose style is low-level, whose language is foul, and whose approach is vulgar.

That low-level style, that foul language, that vulgar approach will eventually come back to find you.

And indeed, it did.

THE 7 FLAWS OF ÖZGÜR ÖZEL’S LEADERSHIP

- ONE: He talks too much, he talks about everything.

- TWO: He cannot consolidate his leadership within the party.

- THREE: Instead of emphasizing a single message, he gives a thousand messages a day.

- FOUR: He makes impulsive decisions, gives impulsive reactions, and makes impulsive statements.

- FIVE: He tries to respond to every claim. He responds to Müsavat Bey, and he also responds to the person named Dilruba.

- SIX: He likes to voice sensational claims that are impossible to prove.

- SEVEN: He doesn't know which buses he shouldn't get on.”
