Ahmet Hakan: The Dilan Polats will not be able to escape

The companies of the couple Dilan Polat and Engin Polat, who have been in the spotlight for their luxurious lifestyles and face allegations of money laundering and tax evasion, have been placed under investigation by MASAK.

The Polat couple is being investigated for "violation of the Law on Prevention of Laundering Proceeds of Crime, the Tax Procedure Law, and the Law on Regulation of Betting and Games of Chance in Football and Other Sports Competitions." However, rumors are circulating on social media that the influencer couple will flee the country.

Hürriyet Editor-in-Chief Ahmet Hakan argued that the couple would not be able to escape from Turkey. In the remainder of his column, Hakan also made a statement regarding social media influencers Kıvanç Talu and his wife Beril Talu, who are alleged to have fled abroad after committing fraud, and issued a call to the authorities.

A statement has been made to put an end to the rumors, speculations, and guesses. The Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office said these three things regarding the Polats:

ONE: The investigation is ongoing.

TWO: They are banned from traveling abroad.

THREE: Their assets have been seized.
