In his column today, Ahmet Hakan pointed to Alçı's statement regarding the psychological, physical, and economic violence she experienced and noted the following:

"There is not a single person who, having seen the performance displayed on screens by the individual called Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı, would say, 'This man would not hurt any woman, this man is not a man who would commit violence against women.' In that respect, I am not surprised at all.

From the moment violence, especially physical violence, comes into play, our duty is to stand by the woman who is subjected to that violence.

Of course, we stand with Nagehan.

Although, in the early days of their marriage, they did subject me to a great deal of psychological violence on screen by leaning on the FETÖ judiciary and saying, 'You will be arrested, Ahmet Hakan, an operation is coming, Ahmet Hakan,' but that is fine."
