Ahmet Hakan's take on Dilan Polat: "They became arrogant, but..."
Hürriyet newspaper Editor-in-Chief Ahmet Hakan addressed Dilan Polat, who has been a subject of public debate in recent days, in his column.
Dilan Polat, who frequently shares posts about her luxurious lifestyle on social media, has recently become a major topic of discussion in Turkey due to allegations made against her.
Hürriyet newspaper Editor-in-Chief Ahmet Hakan also touched upon Dilan Polat in a section of his column published today.
"THE WHOLE COUNTRY WONDERED WHERE THE MONEY CAME FROM"
Hakan stated that Dilan Polat tried to take the concept of ostentation to the highest level, writing, “Throwing money around, making bouquets of dollars, private jets as gifts, and so on. She officially and openly took the phenomenon of showing off thousands of clicks further. The whole country wondered where the money came from and started questioning what was going on. Some tried to get to the source of the income. Others focused on the tax situation.”
"THEY BECAME ARROGANT, BUT AGAINST DARK CORRIDORS"
Noting that the situation has turned into a crisis for Dilan Polat, Hakan used the following expressions: “They challenged, but it was unclear who they were challenging. They clenched their fists, but against unknown targets. They became arrogant, but against dark corridors. In fact, one of them did not even hesitate to shout that they used drugs while issuing the crudest of challenges.”
Hakan's column reads as follows:
"What does a person do in the face of such a crisis?
Would they not develop an approach like, 'Let's step back a bit. I guess we exaggerated a bit too much, we drew too much attention. The fun is gone. We made the public our enemy,' right?
No, they didn't. On the contrary, they doubled down as a family.
They challenged, but it was unclear who they were challenging. They clenched their fists, but against unknown targets. They became arrogant, but against dark corridors.
In fact, one of them did not even hesitate to shout that they used drugs while issuing the crudest of challenges.

I have been thinking about this for three days:
They could have continued their happy and peaceful lives with a moderate, measured, and balanced display of wealth."
