Ahu Tuğba's daughter Anjelik recounts her mother's final moments: 'She didn't want to get better'

Anjelik Calvin, the daughter of Ahu Tuğba, who passed away in America in recent days, has made very special statements regarding her mother's final moments.

According to a report by Tuba Kalçık from the Sabah newspaper, Calvin stated that her mother did not want to get better following a traffic accident she had in recent months, and said that the date for when Ahu Tuğba will be buried in Turkey has not yet been determined.

When asked, "You lost your mother, what would you like to say?" Calvin replied, "My mother hadn't been able to sleep for nearly a week. The night before she died, I kissed her forehead and said, 'I love you very much.' I went to sleep. I wish I had hugged her. It remains a regret inside me. I wish I had stayed by her side a little longer. The next day I woke up, went out, and came back. It was as if my judgment was clouded. My mother had been sleep-deprived, so I thought she should sleep.

'I ENCOUNTERED HER CORPSE'

But around 11 p.m., I thought she had slept a lot. At 1:00 a.m., I went to her room. I lifted my mother by her shoulders with both hands. I saw she was ice cold. I encountered her corpse. I ran into the hallway shouting 'Mom.' I went to our neighbor, then I called the police. The police kept the scene under investigation until morning."

Calvin continued her speech as follows:

"They didn't let me near my mother. The morgue vehicle arrived, and they took my mother's body away. My mother had a high fever for two weeks. I had said, 'Let's go to the hospital,' but she didn't want to. She was a severe COPD patient. She was moaning because she couldn't breathe. I insisted a lot, but I couldn't convince her. Because she was found dead in bed and had passed away hours earlier, the police took it under investigation. My mother had taken migraine medication because she had a headache. Since she took it on an empty stomach, it caused stomach bleeding. She couldn't even eat. I had given her sweetened yogurt. Now the police have collected all her medications and taken them for examination."

'THERE ARE THOSE TRYING TO GAIN CLOUT AS IF THEY ARE HELPING'

Speaking about the burial procedures, Calvin said, "It is not clear yet. The transfer procedures have not been completed. I need to renew my passport. I would also like to say this: there are those who present themselves as my mother's friends and try to gain clout as if they are helping."

Calvin concluded her final words as follows:

"My mother didn't want to get better. She said, 'I've been working since I was 11, I'm very tired.' My mother was a terrifyingly intelligent, experienced woman. She worked very hard for years. She prayed constantly. After this last illness, she was very sad because she couldn't pray. Negative comments are being made about her, but you never know who has faith. She was a devout woman who feared God very much.

'4,000 PRAYER IMAGES WERE FOUND ON MY MOTHER'S TABLET'

Because my mother had provocative poses, she could be perceived differently, but she spent her final period reading prayers. 4,000 prayer images were found on her tablet. She was that kind of person. She was a very special woman. She took care of me until this age. I worked for a period. But for the last 7 months, I was taking care of my mother. I didn't even leave the complex where we lived so as not to leave her alone. I couldn't get my mother to quit smoking. I was very angry with her about that. I wish I had been more constructive. I love my mother very much."
