Air Force Academy student Veli Bilgin dies during training in Yalova
Veli Bilgin, an Air Force Academy preparatory class student who fell ill during training in Yalova, could not be saved at the hospital.
Air Force Academy preparatory class student Veli Bilgin has died after falling ill during training at the 18th Main Jet Base Command located in the Taşköprü town of Yalova's Çiftlikköy district.
According to the information obtained, the incident occurred yesterday around 17:00 during training activities. Three other military students also fell ill along with Veli Bilgin.
Following the initial intervention by medical teams, the students were taken to Yalova Training and Research Hospital by ambulance. Despite all efforts by doctors, Bilgin could not be saved.
It was learned that the body of Veli Bilgin, who is believed to have died due to heatstroke, will be sent to his hometown of Niğde. It was stated that the treatment of the other three students who fell ill is ongoing.
