Delay record from AJet
AJet, the regional airline subsidiary of Turkish Airlines, experienced 6 consecutive delays on its Istanbul-Rize flight. Passengers waiting for hours at Sabiha Gökçen Airport to fly to Rize were left furious by the situation. While some passengers recorded the moments with their mobile phone cameras, others protested the events with whistles and applause.
AJet's Istanbul-Rize flight, which was scheduled for 11:00 yesterday, was delayed 6 times in a row.
The flight, which was planned for 11:00, was postponed multiple times, and passengers were transferred to the 17:30 flight to the same destination.
However, it was noted that this Istanbul-Rize flight would also be delayed due to a 'technical malfunction,' with an estimated departure time of 22:00.
The plane, which departed from Sabiha Gökçen Airport at 22:00, landed at Rize-Artvin Airport around 23:45.
6 CONSECUTIVE DELAYS
It was learned that the Rize-Artvin Airport flight, which was planned for 11:00, was first postponed to 17:30, then 18:10, and then 18:30. However, the flight time changed again, and the 18:30 departure was pushed to 19:30, and later to 22:00.
Furious at all these events, the passengers first wanted to speak with the authorities. The passengers expressed great reaction to both the airline and the grievances they experienced due to the constantly changing flight times.
The stranded passengers spent stressful hours in the terminal. Police teams were called to the scene. While those moments were recorded by some passengers with their mobile phone cameras, other passengers protested the situation with whistles and applause.
