AK Gençlik Ocakları executives who printed fake cards bearing the Ministry of Interior label arrested

'TRAITOR' ACCUSATIONS AGAINST THE JOURNALIST

Quoting the post, Ferhat Aydoğan directed threats at journalist İsmail Arı.

Aydoğan, who did not respond to the issue regarding the cards with the Ministry of Interior logo, stated: “'Artıkçı' İsmail Arı, it is clear that you are a DHKP-C member. And you shamelessly criticize an official institution. Those who believe you know what you are better than I do.

First, explain that the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) sent you on vacation. You, the mayor who sent you on vacation with taxes that are the right of orphans, and you who suck up to him, are grinning like a cooked head as if it were a reward. I gave you my final warning.

You are a low-quality person who pries into people's private lives. Look, you cannot walk around in public, you cannot face me. You run away like a rat. But you can see and hear me everywhere. You are a traitor whose pen is for sale and who uses his pen for hit jobs,” he said.

'ACTION TAKEN-19' POST FROM ALİ YERLİKAYA

Following the developments yesterday, Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya made a post on his social media account under the heading "ACTION TAKEN-19".

Minister Yerlikaya announced that AK Gençlik Ocakları Chairman Ferhat Aydoğan, who had fake cards printed in the name of the ministry, and Ergin Vançin, for whom a card titled 'AK Gençlik Ocakları Chief of Staff' was printed, were detained by Adana Provincial Police Department teams and subsequently arrested by the Criminal Judgeship of Peace.

Minister Yerlikaya's post included the following statements:

"As a result of a tip-off shared on a social media platform on 11.07.2024, tagging our Ministry of Interior, it was determined that identity cards had been issued using the name of our Ministry of Interior.

As a result of the work carried out by our Adana Provincial Police Department teams upon evaluating the tip-off; suspects E. V. and F. A., who was in the same vehicle, were caught with the cards in question. An investigation was opened by the Adana Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against the individuals for Attempted Qualified Fraud, Forgery of Documents, and Influence Peddling, and they were arrested by the court they were brought before.

We will not give any leeway to those who commit fraud by using the names of state institutions and try to obtain privileges, nor to criminal hubs and criminals."
