Akit columnist attributes Daron Acemoğlu's Nobel win to the AKP: 'You are amazing, AK Party'

Akit columnist Ali Karahasanoğlu claimed that economist Daron Acemoğlu receiving the Nobel Prize is a success of the AKP government, stating, "You are amazing, AK Party... Just as in every other field, you have carried Turkey to the summits in the Nobel as well." 

Akit columnist Ali Karahasanoğlu argued that Orhan Pamuk, Aziz Sancar, and Daron Acemoğlu winning Nobel Prizes during the AKP's time in power is a success of the government.

Karahasanoğlu's article reads as follows:

Just as in every other field, you have carried Turkey to the summits in the Nobel as well...

The Republic of Turkey, founded in 1923, had not won a single Nobel Prize until the AK Party came to power...

We must have been dragging on the ground in positive sciences.
