Ugly posts from Akit news manager Say: He blamed artificial intelligence

Following the highly inappropriate headline "Ferdi Zeyrek struck" published by Yeni Akit, a series of ugly posts have come from the newspaper's News Manager, Zekeriya Say.

Citizens reacted harshly to Say on social media. Zekeriya Say subsequently deleted his posts shortly after.

During a protest held in front of the Akit Media Group, citizens expressed their reactions with slogans such as, "This is not a newspaper, this is not a television channel; this is a rag. It has nothing to do with journalism; it is a propaganda tool that poisons the public instead of informing them."

Yeni Akit News Manager Zekeriya Say shared a profile photo on his social media account featuring an image of an electric current. Say deleted the post shortly after the backlash.

Following the announcement of the news that Mayor Zeyrek was seriously injured after being struck by an electric current with the headline "Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek struck," the image shared by Yeni Akit news manager Zekeriya Say with the caption "my new profile photo," which drew further criticism, was also met with a flood of reactions.

Say, who deleted his post shortly after, stated, "Okay, I admit it.. The image prepared by artificial intelligence was ill-timed. That's why I deleted it." However, citizens continued to express their reactions regarding Say's ugly post.
