AKP cast a fake vote during the roll call in the Turkish Parliament: Turhan Çömez reacted
It was determined that AKP Tokat MP Yusuf Beyazıt had cast a vote during the deliberations on the Climate Law Proposal in the General Assembly, even though he was not in the hall. The session was adjourned after the quorum could not be reached twice.
A "fake vote" crisis occurred during the roll call in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) General Assembly.
Opposition members reacted after it was determined that a ballot had been cast on behalf of AKP's Yusuf Beyazıt during the General Assembly session, which had to be adjourned because the decision quorum could not be reached.
A roll call was held again in the General Assembly around 22:00.
After reading the ballots following the second vote, the presiding officer, Pervin Buldan, determined that AKP Tokat MP Yusuf Beyazıt was not in the hall.
Opposition MPs in the General Assembly reacted to the situation.
İYİ Party Group Deputy Chairman Turhan Çömez expressed his reaction by saying, "This process failed due to a fake vote."
Çömez stated the following:
"The person they signed for with a fake vote is Yusuf Beyazıt, the former Chairman of the Constitutional Commission. They keep saying, 'Let's change this coup constitution, let democracy come, let the rule of law come.' Well, a fake ballot was cast for the person who chaired that very commission. We expect Mr. Numan Kurtulmuş to impose a sanction and conduct an investigation into this matter."
