AKP Chair and President Erdoğan said he 'cannot live up to his office,' CHP responds sharply: There is nothing to be done

AKP Chair and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made statements at the Extended Provincial Chairs Meeting held at the AKP Headquarters and attacked CHP Chair Özgür Özel with harsh expressions.

Targeting CHP Chair Özgür Özel, Erdoğan said, "Unfortunately, CHP Chair Mr. Özel cannot live up to the office he holds.

By talking too much and usually talking nonsense, he makes both himself and his party look ridiculous. He is neither aware of the world or the region, nor does he know Turkey.

We are tired of correcting his mistakes and gaffes, but he has not tired of adding new ones to them every day."

REACTION STATEMENT FROM CHP SPOKESPERSON DENİZ YÜCEL

CHP Spokesperson Deniz Yücel responded to AKP Chair and President Erdoğan via his social media account. Yücel stated, "He should stop insulting the CHP and its members and listen to the voices rising from the squares... It is clear that Erdoğan has been gripped by fear as the election approaches. But there is nothing to be done; the end of the road taken with lies and plunder is clear..."

Yücel wrote the following:

"Without looking at how well he has lived up to the seats he himself occupies, Erdoğan has attempted to lecture the leader of Turkey's leading party, Mr. Özgür Özel, on office, position, and statesmanship...  

It seems that while he was speaking at the Court of Accounts, the corruption revealed by our Chair Mr. Özgür Özel that entered the Court of Accounts reports bothered him... 

He was annoyed by the exposure of the AKP members and their cronies who are in the arms of the octopus... 

Especially the fact that European leaders are also seeing these has angered Erdoğan quite a bit. 

Our advice to Erdoğan is this:  He should stop trying to draw a political path for the CHP and look at his own party. 

First, he should examine the votes of his party, which has become disconnected from the public and fallen to 20 percent, and then address the rise of the CHP, which provides hope, excitement, and strength to society with its organizations, mayors, and deputies despite all kinds of dirty games, obstacles, and attacks. 

He should stop insulting the CHP and its members and listen to the voices rising from the squares... 

It is clear that Erdoğan has been gripped by fear as the election approaches. But there is nothing to be done, the end of the road taken with lies and plunder is clear...
