Describing the summit as 'gratifying' regarding the successful meeting between the leaders of Russia and the US, Erdoğan made the following statement:

"The meetings held in Alaska between US President Mr. Trump and President of the Russian Federation Mr. Putin have provided new momentum to the search for ending the Russia-Ukraine war.

We welcome the Alaska Summit and hope that this new process will lay the foundation for a lasting peace with the participation of Ukrainian President Zelenskyy.

Turkey is ready to provide every kind of contribution for the establishment of peace."
