AKP's take on the Court of Cassation ruling

AKP Group Deputy Chairman Abdulhamit Gül shared a post on his social media account regarding the Court of Cassation's decision to file a criminal complaint against members of the Constitutional Court, stating the following;

“The image of conflict between high judicial bodies is concerning for the rule of law and the sense of justice that lies at the foundation of the state.

The judiciary is an arbiter; it resolves problems. If the judiciary loses its capacity to be an arbiter, it becomes a source of problems and conflict rather than a solution.

It is essential that every institution exercises its authority and functions, which derive from the nation, within the framework of the law. It is our nation's most natural expectation that judicial bodies also resolve issues by remaining within constitutional boundaries, without deepening disputes.”
