In the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) General Assembly, Deputy Speaker Celal Adan ordered a repeat of the roll call after a quorum could not be reached during the roll call held before the voting on motions regarding the 2nd article of the Draft Law on Amendments to the National Parks Law and Certain Laws and Decree-Law No. 375.
Adan expressed his reaction to the deputies who sent in roll call slips but were not present in the General Assembly hall, saying, "Look, last week, one time before I used very harsh language. How can they send these when they are not here? It's astonishing. It's shameful."
The TBMM General Assembly convened under the chairmanship of Deputy Speaker Celal Adan. Following the motions of the parties, the discussion of the articles in the first section of the Draft Law on Amendments to the National Parks Law and Certain Laws and Decree-Law No. 375 began in the General Assembly.
"HOW CAN THEY SEND THESE!"
Following the electronic roll call, the names of some AKP deputies were read out one by one. Deputy Speaker Adan reacted to some deputies who he stated had sent in slips despite not being in the hall, saying, "This İrfan Çelikaslan, then Serkan Bayram, Sunay Karamık, Cantürk Alagöz, Fatma Öncü, why are they sending slips? Look, last week, one time before I used very harsh language. How can they send these when they are not here? It's astonishing. It's shameful."
After the completion of the roll call, Adan stated, "There is a quorum," and continued the session.
