AKP Deputy Chairman Zorlu's 'Steel Dome' statement: It is President Erdoğan's leadership

Zorlu attended a street iftar organized by the AKP Manisa Provincial Presidency in the Barbaros neighborhood of the Yunusemre district. Stating that Turkey must continue on its path in a strong and stable manner, Zorlu expressed that the country also needs strong leadership.

Expressing that Turkey has made significant breakthroughs in the defense industry, Zorlu said, "Despite the crises in its region, despite all this war and chaos, Turkey is making a name for itself in the world as a very important country that stands on its own feet, makes its decisions independently and freely, and makes breakthroughs in the defense industry, thank God. We have our KIZILELMA, our UAVs, our UCAVs, and our steel dome, thank God."

Stating that the first phase of the steel dome system has been delivered to the armed forces, Zorlu noted the following:

"It will not be enough for this dome to be sufficient in a military sense. Besides this, we need something else. This steel dome also needs a projection in politics. If you ask, 'What is our political steel dome?' that will keep our country in this safe harbor and carry it into the future, it is the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Turkey continues to work not only for our own security and that of our citizens, but also for the security, peace, and stability of our region, and continues to keep diplomacy alive.

Do not worry at all; with our President's diplomacy and multi-faceted activities, thank God, we will pass through these stormy days together, overcome them, and move toward the future. And these steps we are taking today are showing their effect not only in our region but in a very large geography, from Central Asia to the Caucasus, and from Anatolia to the Balkans."
