AKP district chair gives orders to police: 'Take them away...'

The incident occurred during an enforcement procedure carried out at the Mersin Tarsus Municipality.

While enforcement officers were in the area, AKP Tarsus District Chair Abdurrahman Altınsucu was filmed instructing the officers to 'take them away.'

"IT IS AN INDICATION THAT A POLITICAL OPERATION IS BEING CONDUCTED, IT IS UNACCEPTABLE!"

CHP Mersin Deputy Ali Mahir Başarır shared the footage of the incident on his social media account.

In his post, Başarır included the following statements:

"During the enforcement procedure carried out at our Mersin Tarsus Municipality, AKP Tarsus District Chair Abdurrahman Altınsucu was present and gave orders to state officials by saying 'take them away.' Who does the AKP District Chair think he is to give orders to state security officers and participate in an enforcement action! This situation is an indication that a political operation is being conducted against Tarsus Municipality and is unacceptable!"
