‘Lobster feast’ controversy in AKP: Harsh words from Mücahit Birinci to Şebnem Bursalı!

AKP İzmir Deputy and Member of the Digital Media Commission Şebnem Bursalı sharing a photo of the lobster she ate at the Monaco Yacht Club on her social media account has sparked controversy.

While citizens are struggling with the economic crisis, the opposition front reacted harshly to this post by Bursalı. A reaction to Bursalı also came from within her own party.

AKP Central Decision and Executive Board (MKYK) member Mücahit Birinci reacted harshly to Bursalı's post on his X account.

Birinci's post is as follows:

"Everyone needs to pull themselves together! Or get out of this party! Enough! While our nation is struggling with the cost of living, while the people are looking for solutions, and while our state is working tooth and nail to fix the economy, you cannot go and eat LOBSTER in Monaco, and even if you did, you cannot share it!

Since you shared it, then you will resign from this party. Whichever party suits this attitude and state of mind of yours, you will go there! There is no place for you and people like you in this party, which was founded on floor tables, built with labor, and has survived coups and a thousand and one troubles. You think this place is your father's farm, but this is the party of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the true son of this nation, who emerged from the heart of the people, brother!

There is no place here anymore for those with this attitude! We will protect our Leader until we die, despite you, until we weed out people like you one by one. Even if you try to overturn the truck and spill what we have gathered grain by grain, we will tirelessly protect the honor of our party from you and people like you.

I could write at length, I could write until morning, but that photo, believe me, does not even deserve this much writing.
