AKP mayor arrested for 'prostitution' at his own hotel

Under the coordination of the Elazığ Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the Morality Bureau of the Provincial Police Department's Public Security Branch conducted the "Cemre Operation." A simultaneous operation was carried out against individuals identified as committing the crime of "encouraging, mediating, or providing a venue for prostitution" at 5 different hotels and guesthouses located in the city center.

During the operation, 5 suspects who were business operators were apprehended and taken into custody. After their procedures at the police station, 4 of the suspects were arrested by the court and sent to prison. 

According to the report by Özgür Cebe from Sözcü, among those arrested was AKP Mollakendi Mayor Mehmet Enis Doğan, who was found to have facilitated 'prostitution' at his own hotel.

It was stated that Mayor Mehmet Enis Doğan was arrested for the crime of "encouraging, mediating, or providing a venue for prostitution" at the establishment in the city center, which was previously used as a dormitory and later converted into a hotel.

HOTEL AND BEAUTY CENTERS OWNED BY THE MAYOR TO BE SEALED

It was reported that the other 4 suspects taken into custody were apprehended at a center where 'prostitution' was being conducted under the guise of a beauty center. These individuals were also reported to have been arrested for the crime of "encouraging prostitution" by having women work at the center under the guise of massage services.

While administrative fines were imposed on 128 people identified as having engaged in sexual intercourse with women in exchange for money at the hotel and beauty center, it was noted that the hotel and beauty centers belonging to the mayor will be sealed.
