AKP mayor involved in traffic accident
Keskin Mayor Ekmel Cönger and two others were injured in a traffic accident that occurred in the Cihanbeyli district of Konya. It was reported that the injured, who were transferred to Kırıkkale Yüksek İhtisas Hospital following initial intervention, are in good health.
The accident occurred at night at the Gemecik neighborhood junction on the Ankara-Konya highway. The car with license plate 71 KE 271, driven by Zeki Kurtaran, who was returning from an in-service training seminar held in Antalya, overturned after the driver lost steering control to avoid hitting a donkey that had wandered onto the road.
Keskin Mayor Ekmel Cönger, Municipal Council Member Duran Sargın, and Keskin Municipality Clerk Zeki Kurtaran were injured in the accident.

The injured were taken to Cihanbeyli State Hospital by medical teams and were subsequently transferred to Kırıkkale Yüksek İhtisas Hospital after receiving initial treatment there.
It was reported that the general health condition of all three individuals under treatment is good.
