AKP's Mehmet Metiner reacts to calling PKK terrorists 'terrorists': 'Yesterday is in the past'

Following the video message from terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan in the new reconciliation process, a group of PKK terrorists laid down their arms and set them on fire in a symbolic 'ceremony' in Sulaymaniyah.

Former AKP deputy Mehmet Metiner expressed an unusual reaction to social media posts and news reports regarding the new reconciliation process.

Opposing the labeling of PKK members as 'terrorists,' Metiner claimed that opposition to the process is being conducted with a toxic tone.

Metiner, not stopping there, drew backlash by saying, 'Yesterday is in the past.'

Metiner's scandalous post is as follows:

"The organization is dissolving itself, laying down its arms, but some people are trying to continue their opposition to the process with a toxic language through 'terror-terrorist' rhetoric, appearing as if they are one of us.

The new era is clearly being sabotaged through the toxic language of the old era.

We need words that will bring us closer to each other.

Yesterday is in the past.

Let it be known that neither a new day nor a new future can be built with the words of yesterday!"
