AKP's Hüseyin Çelik proposes solution for a 'Terror-Free Turkey': 'We don't need to do anything special'

New developments are taking place in Turkey as part of the "Terror-Free Turkey" process. While a commission established in Parliament is visiting PKK terrorist organization leader Öcalan with designated individuals, the DEM Party is demanding changes to the Constitution of the Republic of Turkey.

On the other hand, the "right to hope" for Öcalan is also on the agenda. MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, who made a statement in recent days, said, "Our decision is clear until Anatolia returns to peace, Öcalan to hope, the Ahmet's to their posts, and Demirtaş to his home."

While all this is happening, Hüseyin Çelik, one of the founders of the AKP, made striking observations regarding the discussions held within the scope of a 'Terror-Free Turkey'.

"WE DON'T NEED TO DO ANYTHING SPECIAL EITHER"

Stating that it should be the duty of every patriotic citizen to react to both Turkish racism and Kurdish racism in the same way, Çelik said, "As long as we do not think of and treat Kurds separately from Kurdish nationalists, we will continue to make mistakes."

Emphasizing that there are millions of Turkish-Kurdish marriages in our country, Çelik stated, "Living in peace and tranquility in this country while preserving our differences does not require us to become the same. We do not need to do anything special for any ethnic group. The remedy and solution lie in having a true rule of law and democracy," he said.

In the full text of the post he shared on his X account, Çelik said the following:

"Like a tree, alone and free, and like a forest, in brotherhood" Nâzım Hikmet

It should be the duty of every patriotic citizen to react to both Turkish racism and Kurdish racism in the same way. As long as we do not think of and treat Kurds separately from Kurdish nationalists, we will continue to make mistakes.

If, despite all these negatives, provocations, and efforts, there is still no Turkish-Kurdish conflict in our country, thank God, this is the result of our ancient brotherhood.

We have dozens of common denominators. There are millions of Turkish-Kurdish marriages.

Living in peace and tranquility in this country while preserving our differences does not require us to become the same.

We do not need to do anything special for any ethnic group. The remedy and solution lie in having a true rule of law and democracy.”
