AKP's Mücahit Birinci on 'World War III': 'They would have started it 10 times in 100 years'

In his assessment on his social media account, Birinci pointed out that it is impossible for the tension in the region to turn into a Third World War.

AKP's Mücahit Birinci explained why this is impossible with the following words:

"Friends, it is impossible for a world war to break out.

In World War I and II, capital was in the hands of arms and energy companies. In other words, they were the ones managing and designing the world.

Now, however, this capital is with internet and digital device manufacturers. Right now, a container of Kalashnikovs is not worth three iPads.

For global powers, while people previously needed to die for them to make money, now the exact opposite is true: they need to live.

They must live so they can buy phones, consume internet, and buy electric vehicles. None of these things happen where there is war.

If these actors were not already operating with this equation, they would have started a world war 10 times in 100 years."
