AKP's Tayyar comments on the end of the 'one-man' regime in Hungary: Turkish politics cannot be read this way
Following Orban's concession of defeat after 16 years in power in Hungary, striking assessments and comments continue to come one after another from the AKP front.
While AKP's Birinci pointed to the similarities between Turkey and Hungary following the end of the 'one-man' regime in Hungary, AKP's Tayyar stated that Turkish politics cannot be read through the lens of Orban's defeat.
AKP's Tayyar's assessment regarding the election result was as follows:
"Turkish politics cannot be read through the lens of Orban's defeat in Hungary.
Every country has different political dynamics and factors that influence voter behavior.
At one point, Tsipras in Greece was a role model.
I don't know what he is doing now.
Even Ali Koç defeating Aziz Yıldırım was adapted into politics.
He, too, has left his place to Saran.
If you dream of coming to power through someone else's victory, you will experience disappointment.
Of course, there are many lessons that both the government and the opposition need to learn.
The government must pull itself together, and the opposition must inspire confidence in society.
The fact that your opponent is bad does not make you good; you need to be additionally good.
Being good is not enough; you must also stay away from the bad.
Because, character is contagious.
If, that is, success is desired."
