Threatening remarks from AKP's Tayyar to teachers taking to the streets: 'Come to your senses, do not force the public to take to the field'
AKP member Şamil Tayyar effectively threatened educators who were exercising their constitutional right to protest in a post shared on his social media account.
Following school attacks in Şanlıurfa and Kahramanmaraş, while millions of citizens expressed their reactions, labor unions also took to the streets to protest the fact that they are under life-threatening conditions.
Tayyar reacted harshly to the teachers calling for the Minister of National Education to resign during this search for their rights.
Furthermore, the AKP member Tayyar, stating that education unions were calling for a school boycott, characterized these actions as playing with the nerve endings of society and issued a warning to "come to your senses."
Here are those words from Tayyar:
"Education unions, whose primary function is the improvement of teachers' personal rights and working conditions, are on the streets.
They are calling for the Minister of National Education to resign, they are talking back to the government, they are getting angry, shouting, and yelling.
Even if I do not find this action right, the political sphere can digest it within itself, discuss it, and make it a subject of conflict.
Its impact does not exceed the boundaries of politics.
However.
What does it mean to call for a boycott of students and teachers, of schools?
Do not play with the nerve endings of society, do not pursue criminal calculations.
Come to your senses.
Learn lessons from the past.
Do not force this nation to take to the field."

Milli eğitim bakanını istifaya çağırıyorlar, iktidara laf yetiştiriyorlar, kızıyorlar, bağırıyorlar, çağırıyorlar.
Doğru bulmasam da bu eylemi, siyasi mecra…
