AKP's Yayman had said 'I did not go', the visit took place
It was announced that a visit to İmralı would take place following a decision made by the commission for a terror-free Turkey. While statements were made that the visit, which included members from the AKP, MHP, and DEM Party, went positively, everyone began discussing the statement made by AKP member Yayman.
Before the meeting in question, different information had come from various sources, and the issue of whether the visit took place had sparked debate.
Speaking to İlke TV, the AKP member of the delegation, Hüseyin Yayman, had stated, “This information is incorrect. I did not go to the island, and I do not know who went.
The information has no basis in truth. It will become clear in the coming days.”
The delegation consists of AKP Deputy Chairman Hüseyin Yayman, MHP Deputy Chairman Feti Yıldız, and DEM Party Group Deputy Chairperson Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit. The CHP had announced that it would not send a representative to the delegation.
