AKP official targets Atatürk with scandalous remarks! Statement issued by district presidency

Serap Ergani, a member of the AKP İzmir Urla Board of Directors, has come to the fore with an ugly post on her social media account targeting Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey.

This post, which Ergani shared on Facebook, drew significant backlash in a short time.

The controversial post included the following remarks: "Greek leader Venizelos nominated Kemal Atatürk for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1934. So much for throwing the Greeks into the sea?"

AKP ANNOUNCES DECISION TO REMOVE FROM OFFICE

Emel Dalkıran, AKP İzmir Provincial Women's Branch President, took swift action following the controversial post.

In a statement on the X platform, Dalkıran announced that Ergani had been removed from her post and that her ties to the organization had been severed.

In her statement, Dalkıran said: "The resignation of Serap Ergani, a member of the Urla Women's Branch who used completely unacceptable expressions that are entirely incompatible with the fundamental principles and values of our party regarding the founder of our Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, has been obtained immediately, and her ties to our Women's Branch have been severed."
