AKP reacts to CHP's boycott call
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel called for a boycott of certain brands during his speech in Saraçhane. Reacting to Özel's statements, AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik said, "By calling for a boycott of national companies, Özgür Özel has only boycotted his own merit for the CHP Chairmanship. This is political bullying and a diversion of focus."
Following the arrest of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu as part of a corruption investigation into the IMM, CHP leader Özgür Özel made a notable statement during the protests that began in Saraçhane.
AKP'S REACTION WAS SWIFT
The response from the AKP to Özgür Özel, who called for a boycott by listing certain brands, came immediately. Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik used the following expressions in his statement regarding the matter: 'This language used by Özgür Özel in his effort to prove himself has completely veered off the political course.'
'IT IS NOTHING BUT POLITICAL BULLYING'
'Özgür Özel's open threatening of media organizations and companies in this manner is nothing but political bullying. It has been seen that those who lack the ability to construct political sentences have no talent other than the language of threats. This language used by Özgür Özel in his effort to prove himself has completely veered off the political course.'
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel continues to speak like an aggressor, having completely moved away from speaking like a politician.

This aggressive language, which targets our President, our party and our alliance, media organizations, and companies in every speech, only harms himself…
