AKP responds harshly to opposition raising 'irregularity' claims in LGS: 'It is a politics of brutality'
Following the 2025 High School Transition System (LGS) exam, which saw 719 students finish in first place, 'irregularity' claims regarding the exam have begun to grow. While an administrative investigation has been launched into 29 individuals, a high-level bureaucrat at the Ministry of National Education has also been dismissed. AKP spokesperson Ömer Çelik has issued a statement regarding these developments.
While the Ministry of National Education (MEB) maintains that the exam was conducted in a transparent and auditable manner, reactions from the opposition and unions continue to rise.
Speaking about a PDF file circulating on social media that is alleged to contain exam questions, Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin said, "We examined it with our experts.
It was clearly determined that it was obtained from a photograph taken in a classroom during the exam.
In other words, it is not a document leaked before the exam. Despite this, attempts are being made to cast a shadow over the legitimacy of the exam in the public eye. This is a great injustice," he stated.
AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik, who previously said, "The smear campaign produced against Imam Hatip schools is a new example of ideological fanaticism," also reacted to the claims once again, saying the following:
"A debate took place last week regarding the LGS. False information was spread here by opposition circles.
Within the framework of the politics of lies, the apple of this country's eye, the Imam Hatip schools, were brutally targeted. Even though their lies were proven, they did not take any steps to correct either the false information or the politics of lies.
This means it was a production of the politics of lies. Specifically, the targeting of the parents of our successful children due to their identities, professions, and affiliations shows the brutal mentality of those who do this. This is a politics of brutality. We will not allow this."
