It was claimed that a black bag containing 250 thousand dollars was found in Parliament, and that Veli Ağbaba later took it by saying 'it's mine'.
Today, I spoke with a friend in the parliamentary administration.
What was the outcome of the bag?
As is known, 3 deputies, including Ağbaba, had submitted a petition to the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) to investigate the allegations.
He explained that upon the instruction of Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş, 2 investigators were assigned, statements were taken from nearly 50 people including cleaning staff, tea servers, and consultants, and security camera footage in the corridors was examined.
And then?
He stated that as a result of the investigation conducted by the two investigators, no such black bag incident as alleged could be identified.
He continued:
'Other than this, if anyone has information, documents, or has heard or seen anything, they should apply; we will assign an investigator again and look into it. The Speaker has pursued every allegation on this matter, but the claim could not be verified in the investigation.'
