AKP's Şamil Tayyar claims Erdoğan and Bahçeli are 'unaware of each other's moves'

While claims that MHP Chairman Bahçeli's call regarding Öcalan also caught the AKP front by surprise continue to occupy the agenda, the steps taken by the MHP and AKP fronts continue to cause confusion from time to time.

On one hand, calls are being made to initiate a new opening, while on the other, trustees are being appointed to municipalities.

Although almost everyone agrees that the two leaders would not act without each other's knowledge, a striking post came from AKP's Şamil Tayyar.

In his post, where he made critical references to the agenda, Tayyar included the following statements:

"Our President had no prior knowledge of Devlet Bahçeli's Öcalan initiative.

Today, we understand that Mr. Devlet also had no prior knowledge of the trustee appointment.

After a week of silence, our President had gracefully shelved the proposal by showering Mr. Devlet with praise, and the trustee appointments followed.

Today, Mr. Devlet, with the same grace, supported our President's candidacy and repeated the Öcalan proposal, effectively putting a barrier in front of the trustee policy.

In other words, they are wrapping their cannonballs of ideological disagreement in roses and throwing them at each other.

This is not a very good sign; if this sweet sparring cannot be resolved, it could trigger an early election.

Look, Mümtazer Türköne, who has worked closely with Bahçeli in recent times and is rumored to be the mastermind behind the Öcalan project, wrote in his article penned immediately after Bahçeli's speech today that 'The State is against the government':

'You should follow the ping-pong match between Erdoğan and Bahçeli as a breathtaking encounter between the government and the state.

With the Esenyurt and trustee agenda, Bahçeli gave a stylish response today to the ball hit by Erdoğan with a soft, placed shot that was thought out and designed down to the finest detail.'

Explaining that our President made a mistake, Türköne claimed that if there is no reconciliation with Bahçeli, an early election could come to the agenda.

Do not underestimate this article; I think it reflects Mr. Devlet's state of mind.

Finally, let me add;

It is clear that the policies oscillating between Öcalan and trustees have led to an ideological disagreement within the People's Alliance.

I find it essential for the two leaders to come together and seek consensus on a common policy.

It would be for the good of both the country and the alliance.
